The Origins of Zombies

Hey guys, here is some basic history on the origin of zombies. I will expand on this later~

- unlike other movie monsters, Zombies did not have a literary history, rather, they developed instead from folkloric origins
- the zombie history has roots in the histories of colonial America, and unlike other monsters, the majority of their roots originate from the Americas
- based on imperialism, slavery and voodoo magic
- the Zombie as we know it from 1930's, 40's and thereafter comes from the Haitian social, cultural and religious beliefs
